Heather Gerber is the founder of Guiding Our Days Inc., and the heart behind the warm, connected community so many families now call their second home. She’s a naturally nurturing, relationship-driven leader who combines big-picture vision with a deep love for children and families. With her, every detail matters — because every child matters.
A wife of 22 years and mother of two daughters who attend the program, Heather brings not only professional insight but deep personal experience. She has been homeschooling for nine years while balancing the demands of being a working mom. She has walked through the highs and lows of homeschooling and understands firsthand the stress, sacrifice, and beauty that come with it.
That’s why she intentionally designed Guiding Our Days to take as much of the stress, responsibility, and burden off the parent’s plate as possible — so family time can be protected, fruitful, and joy-filled. Helping parents navigate their journey fuels her purpose. She's here not just to lead a program, but to walk with families — offering encouragement, structure, and the space to breathe.
For Heather, this journey isn’t about building the biggest program — it’s about building the right one. One where quality always comes before quantity, where kindness is at the center, and where kids can grow up surrounded by people who truly see them. She believes that parents should remain the primary influence in their child’s life, and that a school should support that — never replace it.
At the core of everything Heather does is her passion for lifting students up — helping them feel seen, heard, and full of purpose. At Guiding Our Days, students don’t just learn — they’re known, loved, and encouraged to be exactly who they are, in a place that values connection, trust, and growth.
Bubbly by nature and grounded in compassion, Heather pours her heart into every relationship — with students, with staff, and with parents. Deep connections are what fuel her, and she believes real learning starts with trust, love, and community.
What she’s built isn’t just a program — it’s a place where families grow together.
“We’re not just building a program — we’re building a home.” — Heather Gerber
