Our Educators

Miss Brianna Beach Tk/Kinder

“Anchoring Young Minds in Curiosity and Confidence.”

Having taught with Guiding Our Days last year, Miss Brianna Beach is excited to continue her journey with us as our TK–Kindergarten teacher. She views every school day as a new adventure—exploring the world together with her students and discovering something new side by side. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and is a California Multiple Subject Credentialed Teacher, fully equipped to guide and inspire young learners.

Soft-spoken, gentle, and nurturing, Miss Beach is a pillar of patience and peace in the classroom. With a deep passion for early childhood education, she creates an environment filled with imagination, curiosity, and hands-on learning. Her gift of presence allows her to turn everyday experiences into meaningful moments of growth, and she counts it a blessing to share these adventures alongside her students.

It’s no surprise that Miss Beach feels at home by the ocean—after all, her name fits her love for the shore perfectly. Born and raised in Orange County, she treasures the opportunity to teach in the community she’s always called home. When she’s not in the classroom, she cares for animals (having worked in veterinary hospitals) and enjoys skiing—trading sandy beaches for snowy slopes when the season allows.

Anchored in her love for the Lord, Miss Beach delights in attending Sunday service and worship, drawing strength and joy from her faith as she pours into her students throughout the week.

“The wonder of learning is contagious—

every day with my students is a new adventure.”

— Miss Beach

Mrs. Ilene Wong 1ST/2ND

“Shaping Bright Minds and Beautiful Manners”

Mrs. Wong lives in R.S.M. with her husband of 31 years and their two daughters—one currently in college and the other in high school. Thoughtful, peaceful, and deeply kind, she values family time and connecting with friends. She loves to serve in her church community through both the worship team and the Hula Ministry, a beautiful expression of worship that uses traditional Hawaiian dance to honor God and share His Word.

Mrs. Wong holds over 15 years of public school teaching experience. After stepping away from the classroom to raise her family, she returned to teaching at Stonecreek, where her gentle and caring nature continues to make a lasting impact.

As the 1st and 2nd grade teacher at Guiding Our Days at Stonecreek, Mrs. Wong is dedicated to helping her students grow both academically and in character. She creates a classroom that is supportive, encouraging, and engaging—where every child feels safe, valued, and inspired to do their best. Known for teaching etiquette alongside academics, she delights in helping her students develop respect, courtesy, and confidence. In Mrs. Wong’s class, bright minds and good manners always go hand in hand.

Mrs. Wong looks forward to a rewarding and fruitful school year, guiding her 1st and 2nd graders with patience, care, and creativity as they grow in both learning and life skills.

“It’s a blessing to watch children grow not only in knowledge but also in kindness and respect.”

MRS. MELINDA BALLMAIER 5TH/6TH

“Nurturing growth in mind, body, and spirit.”

Affectionately known to students as Mrs. B, she lives in Mission Viejo with her husband and their two lively Labrador retrievers, Annie and Charly, who think every day is an adventure. As a proud mother of four and now a grandmother, Mrs. B delights in family time.

With nearly two decades of teaching experience in both junior high and high school, Mrs. B brings a wealth of knowledge to her 5th and 6th grade classroom. Because she has taught the very subjects her students will soon encounter, she is uniquely equipped to prepare them for the academic rigor and personal responsibility of middle school and beyond. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a focus on Comparative Cultures from the University of California, Irvine, and her academic background provides deep insight into social and cultural perspectives. She brings this knowledge into the classroom with a heart for encouraging curiosity and connection, helping children grow both academically and personally.

Mrs. B also values living a life of wellness—mind, body, and spirit.

She enjoys being outdoors paddleboarding or bike riding, cooking healthy meals that reflect her passion for natural remedies, and nurturing a lifestyle of balance and vitality. Her faith is central to this holistic approach, as she seeks to model integrity and kindness in all she does, with a heart to inspire the next generation to walk in honor, strength of character, and a love for truth.

At Guiding Our Days at Stonecreek, Mrs. B provides a classroom environment where expectations are clear, learning is engaging, and students are encouraged to rise to their potential. Parents can feel confident knowing their children are in a setting that balances structure with support, ensuring they are well-prepared for the next stage of their education.

“It’s a privilege to guide students during such an important stage in their education, and I look forward to helping each one discover their strengths and grow with confidence.” — Mrs. B

MRS. BRIANNA MILLER 7TH/8TH

“

“Where Confidence and Character Are Built in the Middle School Years”

Mrs. Miller, with a heart devoted to Jesus, was born and raised in Orange County and has built a strong foundation of faith and family during her 20-year marriage. She is the mother of two wonderful children and two gentle, giant, larger-than-life dogs who bring joy and warmth to their home.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with a special field in Sociology from California State University San Marcos, giving her a strong foundation in both education and understanding of children’s development. Her background also includes working closely with children on the autism spectrum in both classrooms and home-based settings, an experience that shaped her deep patience, creativity, and ability to connect with students of all learning styles.

Well-loved by families in our community, Mrs. Miller has faithfully guided middle school students at Stonecreek for several years, and we are grateful she will continue serving as our 7th and 8th grade teacher. She has a genuine passion for guiding students through their most formative years, helping them build confidence, develop strong character, and prepare for the exciting transition into high school.

Outside of school, Mrs. Miller enjoys cheering from the sidelines at soccer games, spending quality time with her family and dogs, exploring holistic wellness remedies, and expressing her creativity through crafting.

“Middle school is such a pivotal season—I love helping students turn challenges into opportunities for growth.” — Mrs. Miller

Mrs Erika Jewell Director of Support & Engagement

“The bridge between what’s needed and what’s possible.”

Mrs. Erika Jewell serves as our Director of Support & Engagement, where she works at the intersection of support, strategy, and soul. Her role exists not to oversee, but to come alongside—bridging families, teachers, charter partners, and students in a way that feels both steady and deeply human.

Whether she’s walking a student through a hard day, offering a teacher a helpful resource, or helping a family feel less alone in the homeschool journey, Erika brings a rare mix of clarity, compassion, and creative leadership. Her gift is seeing the big picture while never missing the small moments that shape student confidence and connection.

Her background includes degrees in Applied Anthropology and Organizational Communication, with additional graduate work in Public Relations. She has spent over a decade mentoring youth and building faith-centered programs—most notably as the founder of RYFO.music, a nonprofit that walks with young creatives through mental health, music, and discipleship. That same passion threads through everything she builds at Guiding Our Days at  Stonecreek—from Learning Period systems to family events, from social-emotional support to vibrant school storytelling.

Erika is passionate about helping kids feel seen and known, creating joyful connection, and building a vibrant community where whole-being wellness is embedded in the rhythm of daily life. Her mission is to make homeschooling feel life-giving—not burdensome—for families, and to ensure every student, parent, and teacher experiences the kind of support that feels like belonging.

“My heart beats for vibrant, sustainable rhythms—where students thrive, families breathe, teachers don’t burn out, and joyful connection fills the gaps in between.” — Ms. Erika
